Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

This is a permanent full time position of 37 hours.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday dayshift between core business hours.

The Out of Hours (OOH) service in NHS GGC provides medical assistance to patients out with normal GP Surgery hours. Patients can access the OOH service in the evenings, overnight and across the whole weekend by contacting NHS 24 or by direct referral from other service providers. Following initial triage by NHS 24 and dependent on outcome, patients will be offered a face-to-face consultation at an OOH centre, home visit or virtual consultations by telephone. OOHs main base is Caledonia House, alongside the Home Visiting service. The OOH service is supported by staff based in Caledonia House – both clerical and clinical, operating during in hours and out of hours period.

We have an exciting opportunity for a PA to join our service. The PA is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Senior Management Team including diary management, arrangement of meetings, preparing agendas, minute taking and prioritising and answering routine correspondence and e-mails as directed.

This is an excellent position for an ambitious and driven individual with experience of providing support at Senior Management Level. This experience will offer the post holder exposure to the wider Service business, as well as the opportunity to build good working relationships with the Senior Management Team.

It is essential that the post holder has excellent communication skills, the ability to organise and forward plan as well as demonstrate the ability to build good working relationships with senior colleagues.
