The primary purpose of this role is to empower the business with trusted and reliable data that is easy and efficient to use. This involves leveraging advanced analytics and data engineering techniques to transform raw data into meaningful information to enable business intelligence, data driven decision-making and to enhance our products and services. The role also focuses on data integrity, reliability, accessibility, governance and security, all of which are foundational components to maximise the value of our data.

What you’ll do:

As an Analytics Engineer you will be reporting into the Analytics Engineering Team Lead and working directly with the business. You will build efficient, scalable and resilient data solutions while maintaining high technical standards, and you will proactively contribute to the overall success of the team and strategic goals of the business.

• Data Delivery: Design and deliver accurate and reliable data to the business, downstream data products and external partners.
• Data Usability: Ensure data is easy and efficient to use from a business perspective and well-designed for our use cases.
• Data Enhancement: Enhance the overall richness and sophistication of our data with centralized metrics, derived data and feature engineering.
• Analytics Culture: Enable a culture of self-serve analytics across the business and guide teams towards a data-centric and data-driven approach.
• Governance and Security: Embed high standards of data governance and security to ensure safe and trustworthy data usage.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience in DBT, SQL, Python and data modelling.
• Knowledge of: Databricks, PowerBI, IaC and CI/CD.
• Strong stakeholder management and confident verbal/written communication.
• Familiarity of Agile and DevOps ways of working.
• Understanding of data governance and data security best practices.
