Job description

Are you experienced in delivering complex portfolios of projects and looking for a new challenge?

Transformative Business Services are currently searching for a Senior Project Manager who will come and continue to drive forward a portfolio of complex projects that will support our work with the Met Police. This role has full project lifecycle ownership and will lead multiple project teams across different subject areas.

This role is hybrid variable, with a base location of our London office and some client travel.

What you'll be doing:

  • Guiding and directing project managers, ensuring that effective project controls are established and maintained for all projects within their span of control.
  • Influencing, coordinating and advising project teams, setting clear goals and prioritising.
  • Effectively engaging the customer, subcontractors, third parties and project team members throughout the duration of each project, developing positive, enduring relationships (up to and including “C” level).
  • Ensuring that a clear understanding of projects’ progress, plans, risk, and status is regularly, clearly and accurately reported, identifying and resolving problems wherever they arise.

What you’ll bring:

  • Full project life cycle ownership demonstrating successful project delivery that includes full implementation from initiation to deployment for at least one or more major initiatives, preferably simultaneously.
  • Previous experience within varying industries including public sector.
  • Proven track record of leading a portfolio of complex initiatives that span multiple matrixed teams as well as being hands on and delivery focused.
  • Experience of system implementation and integration ideally with ServiceNow.
  • Ability to build and cultivate trusted advisor relationships with internal, external, and client project and programme stakeholders, including sponsors and leadership, by establishing credibility, solving problems, building consensus, and driving objectives forward.
  • Strong leadership with a thoughtful and motivational approach to be able to build and empower team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project achievements.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating the ability to get under the skin of a problem and drive through early resolution across multiple teams.
  • SC Clearance and ideally NPPV Clearance.

Employment Type: Permanent.

Location: Hybrid Variable with travel to our London office 2 days a week.

Security Clearance Level: SC and NPPV1.

Salary: £80,000 - £95,000 per annum.

Benefits: 10% Bonus, £6,600 car allowance, 25 days annual leave with the option to buy additional days, private medical, life assurance, pension, and generous flexible benefits fund.
