Band 5 - Accident & Emergency (A&E) - Oxford

Job Title: Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse
Banding: Band 5
Location: Oxford
Rate: £17.00 - £28.00 per hour

As an Accident & Emergency (A&E) Nurse, you will be an integral part of our Emergency Department team, providing urgent and critical care to patients experiencing various medical emergencies. Your quick decision-making skills, ability to handle high-pressure situations, and compassionate approach will ensure that patients receive timely and efficient care during their most vulnerable moments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triaging patients upon arrival, assessing their condition, and prioritising care based on the severity of their condition.
  • Administering initial treatments and interventions to stabilise patients, providing life-saving measures when necessary.
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patients' conditions.
  • Assisting the medical team in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting the results.
  • Administering medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed by physicians.

  • A current DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service) check (Pulse Nursing can help facilitate this).
