About the Role
As a Biological Technical Sales Specialist, your mission is to drive sales, support customers with technical expertise, and expand Bionema’s market for biocontrol products. You will work across various sectors and regions, collaborating closely with our internal teams to ensure customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and brand leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Market Development
- Identify, pursue, and close sales opportunities across UK Sports Turf, Horticulture, Agriculture, and Forestry markets
- Manage existing B2B/B2C clients, distributors, co-ops, and marketing partners
- Develop and execute client account plans to increase product penetration and market share
- Expand business in international territories (EU, US, Canada, LATAM)
- Successfully launch new biological and biostimulant products aligned to market needs
- Represent Bionema at tradeshows, client meetings, and technical workshops
Technical Support & Field Expertise
- Deliver expert product guidance and technical advice to customers.
- Conduct training seminars, field trials, and product demonstrations.
- Collaborate with the R&D team on product development and reporting.
- Develop technical product documentation, leaflets, and presentations.
- Collect and report field data for product performance and customer satisfaction.
- Work cross-functionally with regulatory, marketing, supply chain, field development, and operations teams.
- Coordinate regional marketing initiatives and product campaigns.
- Feed market intelligence into Salesforce and support innovation planning.
Requirements & Experience
- Background in technical sales 3-5 years of industry experience within biostimulants, biofertilisers, pesticides, plant protection, wetting agents, or agrochemicals.
- Proven success in B2B/B2C sales and account management.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, ideally Salesforce.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel across the UK (and occasionally overseas).
- Scientific or agricultural qualification preferred.
