Job description

Our client is seeking an HR Administrator to support HR policies, procedures, and employee administration across the Channel Islands and UK. This role involves managing employee onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, payroll processing, and supporting recruitment activities. The position can be based in either Guernsey or Jersey.

Job Duties:

  • Administer onboarding and offboarding procedures, including employee changes such as promotions, salary adjustments, transfers, and parental leave.
  • Manage benefit programmes and holiday schemes for employees.
  • Support recruitment processes, liaising with agencies and line managers.
  • Prepare and process payroll and pension schemes, ensuring accurate reporting.
  • Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
  • Coordinate and monitor internal and external training administration.
  • Deliver first-day induction training for new employees.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistently applied and updated when required.
  • Manage employee records and ensure compliance with data retention policies.
  • Support HR projects as required.

Job Requirements:

  • Up to two years of relevant experience in HR administration.
  • Strong administrative skills with high levels of numeracy and literacy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience with HR databases and payroll software is advantageous.
