Job Description

Qualified Social Worker, Independent Reviewing Officer, Shropshire Council, Child Protection Team - Must be a Qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 2 years+ UK Social Worker experience within a Children's Social Work team.

The responsibilities will include:

1. Undertake initial assessments of Safeguarding referrals
2. Sec 42 Enquiries and support move towards implementation of new safeguarding pathways and team
3. Review Care Packages
4. Adult Placement
5. Report writing
6. Home Visits
7. Liaise with other professionals
8. 36 hours per week (flexible by negotiation)
9. 6 Month Temporary Contract
10. Start date subject to DBS and reference clearance

The successful Qualified Social Worker candidate will need to hold a Degree or equivalent, must be registered with Social Work England, have a current DBS, and be a car driver.
