The skills in Power BI, Power Query, and SQL Server are extremely important, but so is the character and personality of the individual. You MUST have strong Power BI AND SQL Server skills; otherwise, your application will not be considered by our client.
You, as the Data Insight Analyst, will apply your experience of driving growth through data to the company, which is fast-growing and constantly changing. Data and technology are at the heart of their proposition and transformation. The value you will bring is key to realizing the organization’s potential.
Your focus will be on the KPIs of the business and making the data easily accessible enough for weekly board meetings, so the information can be used to help the overall performance of the business.
Within Power BI, you will be expected to know the different key stages in the working of Power BI. Within SQL Server, you will be expected to know how to get the ‘count of records’ in a table, along with explaining how you would make SQL code readable.
In summary, we are looking for someone who has solid technical (and NOT just the basics) Power BI and SQL Server skills, great communication to be able to discuss results/findings at the c-suite level, and the ability to independently investigate the meaning behind a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) to report back.
