WAF/NAC Project Manager - Must Have Pharma Experience - Fully Remote
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled IT Infrastructure Project Manager with expertise in Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Network Access Control (NAC) systems, specifically within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors. This role is critical for leading and managing the successful implementation and optimization of IT infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance, security, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industries, with a solid understanding of IT security frameworks and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex IT infrastructure projects focused on WAF and NAC implementation within a pharmaceutical or life sciences environment.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, compliance, and external vendors, to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Oversee risk management strategies and proactively identify and mitigate potential project risks.
- Manage and ensure project documentation, including project charters, plans, schedules, and budgets, are up-to-date and align with organizational goals.
- Work closely with IT security teams to integrate WAF and NAC solutions into existing IT infrastructure, ensuring high levels of protection, compliance, and performance.
- Coordinate testing, troubleshooting, and post-implementation support to ensure systems operate effectively and meet business requirements.
- Ensure all infrastructure projects meet stringent regulatory requirements, such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, and other relevant guidelines for the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, providing regular updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers related to WAF and NAC technologies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to infrastructure security, scalability, and overall IT strategy.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in IT project management, with at least 2-3 years focusing on WAF and NAC technologies.
- Previous experience working within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with an understanding of industry-specific compliance standards and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of WAF (eg, AWS WAF, Imperva, F5) and NAC (eg, Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass) technologies.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects from initiation through to completion.
- Expertise in Agile or Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Strong understanding of IT security best practices, including risk management, vulnerability management, and compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or other project management certifications are highly desirable.
