Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Transport Planner on behalf of our well-established client in Burghle Marsh. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, working 10 Hour Days.

As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for managing and epitomising transport operations specific to the poultry sector, ensuring efficient logistics and timely deliveries to meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and coordinate transportation routes and schedules to optimise delivery efficiency.
  2. Monitor and analyse transport performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure transport planning aligns with packing operations.
  4. Maintain accurate records of transport activities and documentation.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  6. Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and other stakeholders to address any issues.
  7. Support the continuous improvement of transport operations through data analysis and feedback.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous experience in transport planning or logistics.
  2. Strong problem-solving skills.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  4. Proficiency in transport management systems and relevant software.
  5. A proactive approach to work, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
