Job description

What will I be doing?

In this position, you'll take ownership of key projects and operate both independently and as part of a team. You'll be based out of our clients' Peterborough office, and your focus areas will include:

1. Contract administration and project monitoring
2. Building surveys and report writing
3. Schedules of Condition and planned preventative maintenance programmes
4. Preparing tenders and contract documents
5. Advising on appointing contractors, designers, and procurement routes
6. Preparing scheme designs, specifications of works, and schedules of dilapidations
7. Advising on the preservation/conservation of historic buildings
8. Ensuring compliance with CDM2015 and health and safety regulations
9. Demonstrating a genuine understanding of professional building surveying
10. Adhering to RICS guidelines and best practices, including Party Wall, Project Management, Employer's Agent, and Reinstatement Cost Assessment

What do I need?

We're looking for a Building Surveyor with the following qualifications and skills:

1. MRICS, CIOB, CIAT, or equivalent qualification
2. Good understanding of CDM and health and safety regulations
3. Experience in financial cost management
4. Ability to build relationships and develop new business opportunities
5. Full UK driving licence
