We are looking for an ambitious university student to join our internal IT Operations department on a 12-month placement year, running from August 2025 to August 2026.

To be eligible for this industrial placement you must be currently studying your undergraduate degree in the UK and be available to work full time for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The role is based 5 days per week from our head office site in Crewe, Cheshire.

Your responsibilities will include…

  • Providing 1st line technical support for core technologies as required.
  • Responding to and logging people’s requests and faults submitted by telephone, email and the IT Service Desk self-service logging tool, JIRA.
  • Prioritising support calls and allocating them to the relevant technical support team/s.
  • Ensuring that all support faults and requests received into the IT Service Desk are answered and responded to within agreed timelines.
  • Keeping internal customers informed of any IT related issues that might impact their teams.
  • Diagnosing and resolving 1st line hardware and software faults.

What do we expect of you?
