Sales Executive – Automotive Aftermarket Division – Scotland

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Sales Executive for the Automotive Aftermarket Division (AAD) covering the Scotland region, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Selling and demonstrating the complete range of AAD products to achieve agreed sales targets.
  • Building application, process, product and industry knowledge whilst building customer intimacy especially with the key end user accounts.
  • Building relationships with key distributor sales and technical teams.
  • Managing and leading business activities and key programs within nominated key end user accounts.
  • Updating ‘Salesforce’ on a daily basis detailing sales visits, events and activities within all end user accounts.
  • Managing, progressing and developing an opportunity pipeline and sales plan to exceed the sales target.
  • Leveraging all available resources to maximise sales impact within end user customers.
  • Training distributor internal & external salespeople.
  • Continuous personal development to learn new skills relative to the industry, collision repair processes and product applications.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:

  • Proven sales performer with track record of strong sales performance within AAD or other related industrial markets.
  • Knowledge of AAD products, applications and processes is strongly preferred.
  • Experience of working with channel/distribution partners to drive growth in industrial markets.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • A self-starter with the ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
  • Able to build excellent customer relationships up to and including director level.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Numerate and proficient with analysis and manipulation of data.
  • Proficient in use of IT tools, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills - written and verbal.
  • Competitive & proactive instinct - takes initiative on issues and challenges to find optimum solutions.
  • Tenacious, resilient - ability to navigate through conflict and challenges towards positive outcome, retaining focus and perspective.
  • Drive and Energy with a passion for sales and exceeding targets.
  • Acts with uncompromising honesty, integrity and professional ethics at all times.

Role Location: Field based covering Scotland
