Job description

Part time or full time up to 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

£33,550 - £40,073 per annum.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Lecturer and Assessor to develop our Plumbing, Heating and Renewables offer at CCN, using our fantastic new Renewables Hub at our Easton Campus. You will want to have an influence on the next generation of technicians, developing the skills and knowledge of Apprentices and upskilling the adult workforce in Norfolk.

In this role, you will be delivering practical and theory sessions to groups of apprentices and adults in college and engaging with learners and employers assessing competence in the workplace. You will need a strong technical skillset as well as excellent interpersonal skills. We have high standards for our students, and you will be tracking and recording work and assessments, so you will need to be well-organised and efficient as well as a confident user of IT. Experience in providing constructive feedback and setting challenging but realistic targets would be beneficial.

You will have a Level 3 qualification in Plumbing & Heating and at least 3 years’ experience in industry, including some experience of working in renewables.

Ideally, you will have teaching qualifications; however, we would love to hear from you if you have the appropriate industry skills, experience, great communication skills (written and verbal), and the patience and passion to help others learn, develop, and progress.

We genuinely aim to make a difference to people's life chances by delivering apprenticeships. If you think you fit the above criteria, are dynamic and creative, and want to make a difference too, get in touch. Please contact Caron Goreham or Lynda Barnsley if you would like an informal chat to find out more about the role.
