Our client are specialists in their market sector, they are looking to recruit a CNC Miller on a permanent basis.
If you can program, set and operate a Siemens controlled CNC Milling machine this role could be ideal for you.
The Job you'll do
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines with Siemens control systems.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and CAD models to produce components to specified tolerances.
- Program CNC machines using Siemens controls, ensuring optimal efficiency and precision.
- Utilise offline programming software, such as Alphacam, to prepare CNC programs and optimise machining processes.
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery and troubleshoot any technical issues.
- Conduct first-off inspection and verify the accuracy of machined parts using precision measurement tools.
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure all components meet strict quality standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, providing feedback and suggestions to enhance machining processes and efficiencies.
About you:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Miller in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in programming and operating CNC machines with Siemens controls.
- Experience with offline programming, particularly using Alphacam, is highly advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD models.
- Experience with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
