Job description

Children’s Social Work Team Manager

Rochdale

Family Support and Protection service

£46 p/h

The Family Support and Protection service holds children and families from child in need to care proceedings.

We currently have 10 Family Support and Protection Teams which are led by 2 Heads of Service and 2 Service Managers. As a service, we are working towards a family safeguarding way of working. Teams will consist of 1 Practice Manager, 1 Advanced Practitioner, 5 Social Workers and 1 Family Support Worker, as well as support from drug, alcohol and domestic abuse services.

Practice Managers are responsible for the direct supervision of Advanced Practitioners and Social Workers.

Agency Managers are treated no different to our permanent staff and will benefit from our training and development opportunities as well as our work life balance scheme.

Ashberry Recruitment would ask that applicants meet the following:

  • DIPSW or equivalent qualification in Social Work
  • Social Work England registration
  • Enhanced and in date DBS certificate.
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to make good decisions based on information available.
  • Can work alone and within/contribute to a team/multi-agency set ups
  • Possess knowledge of service needs.
  • Competent IT skills and be able to navigate electronic file/recording systems.
  • Can write clear, concise, and robust assessment/reports/files.
  • Have a flexible approach to work and working hours when the need arises
