Residential Support Worker

Location: Oswestry/Shrewsbury - SY10 9DA

Full Time - Shift patterns will be Monday to Friday 09:00 till 17:00, longer shifts may also be required which will be 08:00-22:00.

Kerry Collins are currently recruiting for Residential Support Workers to undertake day shift bookings within the Oswestry/Shrewsbury area, with various shift patterns available.

Responsibilities:

1. Welcoming patients
2. Updating patient records whilst offering a first-class service
3. Monitoring patients and performing basic health checks
4. Making patients feel comfortable
5. Providing emotional support for an individual and their families
6. Serving meals and helping to feed patients
7. Taking patients out into the community
8. Light housework
9. Washing and dressing patients

Requirements:

1. Must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to your own transport as public transport isn't an option to this location.
2. Passionate about helping others
3. Desire to improve the life of another
4. Good communicator and listener
5. Able to adapt and stay calm in challenging situations
6. Must be comfortable with providing personal care.
7. Experience with learning disabilities and non-verbal clients.

Desirable:

1. DBS child and adults on the update service
2. Driver and have your own vehicle
