Job description

Day Production Operatives
37.5 hours per week – £23,100pa increasing to £24,412 after 12 months
7.00am to 3.00pm / 8am – 4pm – 2.00pm

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within the production team for Day/Evening production operatives to join a great company that takes pride in their staff.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Electrical wiring and assembly in a quality-assured environment, using electrical drawings, wiring schedules, and schematics.
  2. Assembly work using microscopes.
  3. Part and product preparation.
  4. Ensure manufacturing build times are met.
  5. Check and complete all paperwork associated with the manufacturing data pack.
  6. Maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality.
  7. Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the manufacturing process.
  8. Maintain a safe working environment.
  9. Follow company housekeeping policy.
  10. Be willing to contribute to an environment of process improvement.
  11. Accurately log on and off the barcoding Glovia ERP system for each job process.
  12. Follow and adhere to the company’s policies & procedures onsite.
  13. Undertake additional duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time and as instructed by the Team Leader/Production Manager.
Qualifications & Experience:
  1. Ideally experience as a wire person. However, full training will be provided to all employees who do not have relevant experience.
  2. Ideally educated to GCE “O” level standard or equivalent preferably in English, Maths, and a Science subject.
  3. IPC 620 certified/trained would be desirable although full training will be provided.
  4. Possess a versatile skill base with the capability to apply these skills across a range of tasks.
  5. Have basic knowledge of equipment, tools, and measuring instruments associated with the manufacturing of electrical wiring and cable assembly.
  6. Ability to work on intricate and small assemblies.
  7. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and instructions.
