Sr Program Manager, Corporate AP, Finance Operations Corporate Accounts Payable

Amazon is hiring a Senior Program Manager for the Global Accounts Payable Financial Operations Services team to support Corporate Accounts Payable processes. Amazon businesses are growing and expanding at a rapid pace resulting in a dynamic work environment with many opportunities.

This position is the front line of our program driving global improvements and initiatives within Accounts Payable Financial Operations Services procure to pay processes. You will help map end-to-end processes at a global level with a view to identify opportunities for standardization and/or extending technology to improve efficiencies. You will help build controllership framework for Corporate Accounts Payable functions and assist teams with multiple audits (internal/external).
The successful candidate will be a self-starter, a quick learner, and will have the ability to efficiently manage various high-priority, cross-functional projects with leadership visibility that will allow Amazon to scale. This candidate will also be able to perform analysis and interpret data to demonstrate the benefits being delivered with the proposed manual/technical solutions.

Key Job Responsibilities
The ideal candidate is a self-starter and will diligently perform the following responsibilities on a consistent basis with little or no direction from management:
  1. Lead the strategic direction of the AP teams based on internal and industry knowledge, especially within controllership.
  2. Responsible for developing and communicating team or department vision and goals for AP.
  3. Leverage industry experience to identify process standardization opportunities through process mapping.
  4. Work on onboarding new businesses and support geographic expansions for the suite of services provided by Finance Operation Services.
  5. Partner with Finance Business Services teams to deliver on shared goals and projects in support of the relevant business teams.
  6. Participate in monthly Operations/Project reviews with leadership in support of services being provided.
  7. Partner closely with the Technology teams to identify post business launch enhancements necessary for Finance Operations Services to scale with the business initiative.
  8. Drive continuous improvement in the process through close partnership with the Finance Operational Excellence team.
  9. Develop, modify and maintain operational and design effectiveness of internal controls.
  10. Lead cross-functional systems and process improvement initiatives.
  11. Demonstrate advanced analytical skills and the ability to get into the details.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience.
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- 5+ years of delivering cross-functional projects experience.
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience.
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field.
