The Space, Defence and Intelligence business unit in CGI is a true IT Systems Integrator. We work, build, and operate bespoke, technically complex, mission-critical systems which help our clients keep us all safe and secure. Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold the highest level of UK Security Clearance (DV). This role will be based in the Cheltenham office 5 days a week.

Your future duties and responsibilities

Join our dynamic storage team and play a critical role in managing and maintaining our enterprise-scale data storage solutions. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including:

  1. Client Collaboration: Work closely with clients to understand their requirements and design cost-effective storage solutions tailored to their needs.
  2. Storage Management: Oversee the management, maintenance, and support of large-scale data storage systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  3. Upgrades and Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and execute software and hardware upgrades for storage components, collaborating with vendors as necessary to ensure seamless integration.
  4. Provisioning and Availability: Handle storage provisioning tasks, from processing user requests to creating volumes, mapping, and ensuring storage availability at the operating system level.
  5. Performance and Capacity Analysis: Conduct thorough storage performance analysis and capacity management to maintain system efficiency and address potential issues proactively.
