Senior Software Engineer – AWS NODE iBL Team – FTC [UK]

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join us working with our media client to help build product features and contribute to general availability/scalability improvements for their premium streaming service’s backend API and Cloud infrastructure.

Additionally, they will be a great communicator who enjoys collaborating with other teams and a team player who encourages collaboration and contribution. The team follows a Scrum development methodology and enjoys a hybrid working model of up to twice a week in the office with Tuesday as a day for the team to collaborate.

Essential Key Skills and Knowledge

You will:

• have strong experience with AWS networking, EC2, Lambda, Redis, and Cloud Formation
• have strong experience with NodeJS
• have experience with CI/CD pipelines
• have knowledge of microservices architecture (desired)
• have knowledge of event-driven architecture (desired)
• have a strong willingness to learn and be a keen team player
• have professional experience of working in projects using Agile development processes
• have experience of writing and taking responsibility for technical documentation

Experience

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work-based experience
• Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer ideally with a focus on media-related projects
• Very good working knowledge of standard software development frameworks, techniques, and methodologies
• Experience with providing coaching and mentoring
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios
• Knowledge of software development tools and technologies
• You are flexible and curious in your approach
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Additional information

Duration of the contract: initially 6 months with the possibility of extension – contract FTC (full-time)
