Head Of Finance

Description

As the Head of Finance, you will report to the Finance Director and will directly lead, manage, and develop a team of 5 (Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners).

You will be required to:

1. Provide leadership to the finance team, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.
2. Deliver information required by Head office and the private equity business efficiently and accurately.
3. Take overall responsibility for the production of monthly, quarterly, and period accounts.
4. Manage the P&L and Balance sheet carefully.
5. Pay close attention to cash flow.
6. Undertake commercial analysis in relation to variance analysis, providing insightful, commercial commentary.
7. Report numbers to the Finance Director, Divisional Managing Director, and Group Head office.
8. Play a key role in budget planning, financial forecasting, and risk management.
9. Drive process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and improve decision making.
10. Report on operational KPIs and provide management information.

Profile

The successful Head of Finance should have:

1. Strong all-round accountancy skills, particularly in managing the management accounts, P&L, and Balance Sheet.
2. The ability to pull together all numbers to a tight timetable and deal with ad hoc requests.
3. The ability to create powerful, insightful analysis and commentary.
4. A background of dealing with Private equity or Venture Capital owners would be advantageous.
5. You must be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).

This role is office-based 5 days per week, so you must be comfortable with this.
