Description
As the Head of Finance, you will report to the Finance Director and will directly lead, manage, and develop a team of 5 (Management Accountants and Finance Business Partners).
You will be required to:
- Provide leadership to the finance team, ensuring smooth operations and accurate financial reporting.
- Deliver information required by Head office and the private equity business efficiently and accurately.
- Take overall responsibility for the production of monthly, quarterly, and period accounts.
- Manage the P&L and Balance sheet carefully.
- Pay close attention to cash flow.
- Undertake commercial analysis in relation to variance analysis, providing insightful, commercial commentary.
- Report numbers to the Finance Director, Divisional Managing Director, and Group Head office.
- Play a key role in budget planning, financial forecasting, and risk management.
- Drive process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and improve decision making.
- Report on operational KPIs and provide management information.
Profile
The successful Head of Finance should have:
- Strong all-round accountancy skills, particularly in managing the management accounts, P&L, and Balance Sheet.
- The ability to pull together all numbers to a tight timetable and deal with ad hoc requests.
- The ability to create powerful, insightful analysis and commentary.
- A background of dealing with Private equity or Venture Capital owners would be advantageous.
- You must be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
This role is office-based 5 days per week, so you must be comfortable with this.
