Job description

Mysten Labs believes that decentralized and open protocols are the bedrock of the internet of value. This is why at Mysten Labs, we are creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.

Production Engineers keep Mysten's production infrastructure running smoothly even in the face of heavy traffic or attacks from adversaries. They have expertise in release, deployment, logging, and monitoring processes. They are obsessed with automation. They work closely with distributed systems experts to ensure that the software is configured and deployed correctly.

Our Ideal Candidate Would Have:
  • 5+ years of experience with hands-on production engineering, including infrastructure as code, containerization and orchestration, observability (metrics, logging, tracing, visualization), deployment, and reliability.
  • Experience working with open-source frameworks for these tasks such as Docker, Kubernetes, Pulumi, Terraform.
  • Experience with public cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS.
  • Experience building infrastructure and tooling to automate key aspects of the release and monitoring processes.
  • Experience writing/maintaining clear and detailed runbooks.
  • Excitement about applying production engineering best practices in a decentralized setting and tackling the challenges and opportunities that emerge.
  • Fluency in a systems programming language such as Rust (used extensively at Mysten), Go, or C++.
  • Fluency in higher-level languages (e.g., Python, Ruby, Shell Scripting).
Preferred:
  • Experience with blockchain and crypto.

Our team is remote first and we are hiring across the world. Here at Mysten Labs, you’ll be joining a world-class team with tremendous growth potential as we bring the next billion users to web3.
