EMC Project Engineer

The Company:

A superb opportunity to join a leading test organisation based in the UK. Due to incredible growth, this organisation which is part of a much larger global enterprise is looking to further increase its EMC capability. You will be joining a world leader in the TIC (test, Inspection and certification) sector, with a strong focus on the automotive sector.

We are currently looking for an EMC Project Engineer. As part of our Project team, you will play a key part in our day to day operations and delivery and will be working directly with several world leading vehicle OEM’s.

Job Summary:

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and passionate engineer with good strong interpersonal skills and a precise command of the English language both written and verbal. You must have great organisational skills, be smart, reliable, and flexible. Can work under your own initiative as well as part of a team and to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

1. Own and develop EMC processes for planning (labour & schedule), requirements, and documentation (specs, test plans, test reports, etc.).
2. Collaborate with internal EMC Team customers (EE Design, Power Design, Homologation) and manage all project touch points.
3. Report on status and schedule to Project and Program stakeholders.
4. Manage vehicle EMC chamber bookings.
5. Collaborate with electrical and mechanical design engineers to develop hardware within EMC specs.

The Person:

1. Strong project management skills.
2. Professional attitude with a strong customer focus.
3. 2+ years of experience on EMC/RF projects.
4. Previous experience as an EMC Technician/Engineer in an automotive, commercial or Mil/Aero environment.
5. Ability to identify blockers/bottlenecks and develop remediation/recovery plans.
6. Ability to triage new work and adjust to rapidly shifting program priorities.

The Rewards:

1. Salary - £45k - £60k DoE.
2. A flexible hybrid working (on-site working will be required when business requires it which is estimated at 1-2 days per week).
3. 25 days annual leave pro-rata (1st December to 30th November) plus bank holidays.
4. Pension Scheme (5% employee contributions + 4% employer contributions).
