Job Description
Assist in maintaining the rent and service charge accounting records
Support the development of the organisation's financial procedures and systems
Prepare and post rent and service charge journals
Ensure accurate and timely rent reconciliations
Collaborate with the housing team in ensuring an effective rent collection process
Provide financial advice and support to other departments within the organisation
Comply with all relevant regulations and financial standards
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Finance Assistant (Rents) should have:
Relevant accounting qualifications
Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong understanding of service charge accounting
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-finance staff
