Job description

Vickerstock are working in exclusive partnership with a Manufacturing business who specialise in machinery, parts, and components on the appointment of a Logistics Coordinator on a full-time permanent basis.

As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be the specialist in managing high volume imports from GB and mainland Europe as well as the exports to a global customer base in countries such as the USA, Mexico, China and beyond. You will also be responsible for effectively dealing with all customs related paperwork related to the TSS and UKIMS frameworks.

In your new role:

  • Responsibility for all import and export shipments, sending goods to customers globally in an efficient manner.
  • Report directly to the Operations Manager daily, updating on any issues or concerns that arise.
  • Liaise with HMRC, Chamber of Commerce, TSS, ensuring that all customs documentation is completed.
  • Liaise closely with the Production and Engineering teams, working collaboratively to ensure shipping targets are met.
  • Maintain frequent communication with transport/logistics providers and customers regarding order status.

What you will need to succeed:

  • 2 years' recent experience in a high volume logistics/import/export coordinator role
  • Experience dealing with customs declarations and a global customer base
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and colleagues
  • Ability to prioritise and work in a fast-paced environment
