The District Nursing service in Oxfordshire is at the heart of developments in community care, as per the NHS Long Term Plan.

  • All new starters have a thorough induction process, both local and Trust wide.
  • Appointment to this post is subject to the trust receiving satisfactory references covering 3 years of employment or study.
  • We’re advocates of flexible working and many of our roles offer a range of employment options.
  • Employees are expected to undertake mandatory and statutory training related to their role.

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent

Knowledge and Experience

  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Ability to supervise and support a range of individuals including team members, formal and informal carers
  • Demonstrates leadership skills; ability to plan and organise own and other's work

Technical expertise/competence

  • Demonstrates an understanding of local and national issues influencing the delivery and development of health care
  • Demonstrates a knowledge and understanding of evidence based care
