Social Care in Action is proud to support individuals across the Southampton community, helping them stay safe and well.

We currently have the opportunity for a Female* Live in Carer to work on a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rota at £125.84 per day. Ideally, you will have worked within a similar role or environment; demonstrating a sound understanding of the health and social care sector and the provision of person-centred care in the community.

The ability to communicate clearly with customers, colleagues and others is essential to be successful within the role as well as having a basic understanding of how rights, dignity, privacy, respect and choice are vital when providing care.

Not required to be a driver but will be an advantage.

About the role

This role requires an individual to live alongside our customer for 24 hours a day over a period of time (normally two weeks) with a rest period in the day at allocated times. It requires the individual to support the customer to remain independently living within their own home for as long as they are willing and able to in a manner which is upholding the customer’s privacy and dignity at all times. You will be required to support the customer with all tasks relating to their daily living this includes but is not exclusive to personal care, general domestic activities, cooking, mental stimulation and physical activities. This role will require adaptability and versatility to ensure that the needs of all our customers with live-in support receive the high level service required.
