Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced CQC Quality Assurance Manager to oversee and enhance the quality of care across our services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring full CQC compliance, conducting audits, implementing quality improvement plans, and supporting care home managers in maintaining exceptional standards. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and adult social care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC standards and regulations across all services.
  • Conduct regular internal audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement plans in response to audit findings and regulatory requirements.
  • Keep up to date with changes in legislation and ensure best practices are followed.
  • Support care home managers in preparing for and managing CQC inspections.
  • Policy Development & Implementation:
    • Develop, update, and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality care delivery.
    • Monitor and analyze care performance data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
    • Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance, safeguarding, and quality standards.
  • Staff Training & Development:
    • Deliver training and workshops to ensure staff are knowledgeable about CQC regulations and quality standards.
    • Support care home managers in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
    • Conduct competency assessments and provide coaching for staff to enhance service quality.
  • Safeguarding & Resident Care:
    • Ensure that safeguarding policies are rigorously followed and that incidents are effectively managed and reported.
    • Work closely with care home managers to improve care planning and person-centered support for residents.
    • Monitor and evaluate resident feedback to enhance service quality and resident satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
    • Work collaboratively with CQC inspectors, local authorities, and healthcare professionals.
    • Provide regular reports on compliance status, audit findings, and quality improvement initiatives to senior management.
    • Act as the main point of contact for regulatory and quality-related queries.

    Key Requirements:

    • Proven experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or a senior management role within adult social care.
    • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, inspections, and best practices.
    • Experience in conducting audits, risk assessments, and implementing quality improvement strategies.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with different teams to drive service improvements.
    • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification (preferred).
    • Enhanced DBS check (required prior to employment).
