Job description

The Role

Ensure top-tier food safety and quality every day by actively monitoring and upholding GMP and product standards across every stage-from intake to dispatch. Collaborate closely with the QA Manager and Operations team to guarantee that every product is manufactured and packed to precise specifications, achieving the highest quality benchmarks while maintaining food safety and compliance with legal standards.

Sunday - Thursday 22:00-06:00
Hourly Pay: £15.08 per hour

Duties Include:

  • Oversee quality and technical standards in the factory to meet customer and legal requirements.
  • Ensure raw materials, processed, and finished products meet specifications.
  • Inspect incoming raw materials and packaging to match internal standards.
  • Perform quality tasks like benchmarking panels, shelf-life testing, consistency reviews, and managing customer complaints, with results logged into customer systems.
  • Report non-conformances promptly to the Line Manager.
  • Encourage colleagues to maintain high standards and follow food safety procedures.
  • Collect and process samples for lab testing.
  • Assist production teams in accurate record-keeping and compliance.
  • Promote a "right first time" mindset across all teams.
  • Conduct routine checks to ensure specifications are met.
  • Support customer audits and visits.
  • Collaborate with Production and NPD teams to ensure smooth operations and compliance.
Skills & Experience Required:
  • Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent)
  • Quality Auditing experience.
  • Internal Auditing Qualification
  • Root Causes Analysis
  • Intermediate HACCP
  • Experience of working in Chilled environments
  • Knowledge of fish products
  • Ability to take part in audits.
