Job description

Full time, Permanent position in Corby, £24,000 to £26,000 per annum. Ref No: IPRS7175.

Our client has a full-time, office-based vacancy for a Conveyancing Assistant to work within their busy conveyancing team. You will assist in the day-to-day running and administration of Conveyancing files, including:

  1. Preparation of standard letters and documents via the Case Management system from the outset of a transaction through to completion.
  2. Preparation of bills and completion statements.
  3. Setting up and dealing with completions and all post-completion matters.
  4. Complying with the firm’s money laundering requirements, including obtaining clear results and producing standard letters to clients requesting proof of identification.
  5. Attending to clients, estate agents, solicitors, intermediaries, and other third parties both on the telephone/email and in person to provide updates and general advice.
  6. Acting as the first point of contact for all clients where possible.
  7. Preparing work as requested by any Conveyancing fee earner.
  8. Assisting in the personal organization of fee earners through the operation of the Case Management system and tasks/diary management.
  9. Updating the Land Registry and various lender online portals.
  10. Creating online ID requests and requesting funds via our online portal.
  11. Filing of papers and other general administrative duties.

It is essential that you can demonstrate at least 1 year of previous experience and knowledge of working in an Assistant role in a Residential Conveyancing Department. You must possess:

  • Attention to detail.
  • A professional and attentive telephone manner.
  • A methodical approach to work, which needs to be completed under strict deadlines.
