Job Overview
Are you an innovative Speech and Language Therapist, excited about a new way of working within the NHS? Are you passionate about working with children and interested in Neurodevelopmental Conditions? We want to meet you!

Join us to work within a fast developing, dynamic and pioneering Neurodevelopmental (ND) Team across Birmingham. We are looking for highly motivated and committed therapists with skills in holistic, client-centred practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out specialist assessments and developing a range of programmes of care and treatment.
  • Negotiating with multi-disciplinary team colleagues and managing complex cases.
  • Using specialist knowledge to inform clinical judgments for complex cases.
  • Identifying and planning appropriate interventions.
  • Providing treatment based on best practice and adapting to clients' needs.
  • Leading audits and reviews of evidence to underpin current practice.
  • Contributing to service development and transformation.
  • Participating in quality assurance and clinical audit studies.

Qualifications:

  • First degree level qualification relevant to service area.
  • HCPC Licence to practice.
  • Evidence of recent relevant CPD activities.
  • Relevant training in specialist area.

Experience:

  • Extensive experience of diagnostic assessment and intervention.
  • Experience of managing a mixed and complex caseload.
  • Experience in providing support and supervision to colleagues.

Skills:

  • Knowledge of the national and political agenda influencing health services.
  • Competent in using electronic systems relevant to practice.
