Prior experience with Local Authorities is essential.
Broad understanding of Housing Disrepair matters required.

Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer – Predominantly Remote Working – Up to £50 per hour – Full Time – Midlands

Position: Locum Housing Disrepair Lawyer

Organisation: Midlands

Duration: Initial 3+ months, rolling contract

Working Pattern: Predominantly Remote working

Working Arrangement: Full-time

Hourly Rate: Up to £50 per hour Umbrella

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a Local Authority and will have a broad working understanding of Housing Litigation and Disrepair matters to deal with a varied caseload.

Duties may include:

Undertake all aspects of legal work relating to Housing Disrepair
Manage Housing Disrepair cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
Ensure compliance with the Housing Disrepair Pre-Action Protocol
Advise on the management of risk on complex and contentious legal issues
Represent the Council in court and conduct advocacy where appropriate
Negotiate and draft complex and sensitive agreements and documents in the area of Housing Disrepair and provide clear case strategy on cases
