Purpose of Role

To enter sales orders onto the business computer system (Movex) in such a manner as to produce a legible and understandable works instruction, delivery note and customers invoice.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  1. Process customer purchase orders accurately against quotations and customer agreements.
  2. Liaise with customers if there are any discrepancies or delays with their purchase orders.
  3. Provide works instructions for the production teams.
  4. Generate commercial invoices for orders outside of UK mainland.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver good customer service levels.
  6. Ability to handle customer calls and emails in a timely manner with the ability to prioritize.
  7. Respond to questions and queries both internally and from our customers.
  8. Liaising with other departments.

Key Functional Competencies

  1. Experience in a busy sales office.
  2. GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grades A-C.
  3. An enthusiastic person with a can-do attitude able to work on own initiative.
  4. Excellent communication skills.
  5. Methodical, organized with ability to prioritize.
  6. Computer literate (particularly Microsoft Office and Dynamics CRM).
  7. Accurate with good attention to detail.
  8. Able to manage and respond to multiple issues at once whilst meeting deadlines.

Desirable skills and Attributes:

  1. Experience of working in a construction or manufacturing business.
  2. Proven track record of account management and converting quotes to orders.
  3. Able to read and understand drawings.
