Job Title:Contract Supervisor

Location: Preston - PR4 4JY

Salary: Starting from £27,000 per year

Job Type: Full time, Permanent

We are a friendly and professional grounds maintenance company dedicated to delivering high-quality services to our clients. With a supportive working environment, we are looking for an organised and reliable individual to join our team as an Area Officer.

Position Summary:

As an Area Officer in Grounds Maintenance, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of projects across multiple sites. This is a varied and rewarding position, requiring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Liaison: Communicating with clients to understand their needs and ensure high levels of satisfaction.
  2. Quoting & Planning Work: Preparing quotes, scheduling jobs, and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
  3. Ordering Materials & Equipment: Managing the procurement of necessary materials, tools, and hire machinery.
  4. Accommodation & Logistics: Booking accommodation for teams when required.
  5. Compliance & Safety: Compiling Risk Assessments and Method Statements to ensure safe working practices.
  6. Admin & Reporting: Checking timesheets, vehicle and equipment inspections, and maintaining records.
  7. Use of IT Systems: Working with Microsoft Excel and Outlook to manage schedules, reports, and communication.

What We're Looking For:

  1. Full UK driving license (Essential)
  2. Strong organisational and planning skills.
  3. Reliable and able to work independently.
  4. Proficiency in Excel and Outlook (or similar systems).
  5. Good communication skills and a friendly approach.
  6. Experience in grounds maintenance or a related field (preferred but not essential).
