About the Role

As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for supervising the gate and reception area, including duties such as booking in deliveries, collections, staff, and visitors. You will also be tasked with monitoring activities, including overseeing alarm systems and weighing vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide holiday and sickness cover for the core security team, ensuring that cover is planned in advance and shifts are covered as scheduled.
• Maintain a rota to ensure holidays and absences are not double-booked and that arrangements are reasonable and manageable.
• You will be required to use computers to log information accurately.
• You will be responsible for operating the weighbridge to manage vehicles entering and leaving the site.
• You will also be required to operate the CCTV system.
• Most duties will involve working in the security gate office; however, you may occasionally be required to carry out site checks as needed.

It is essential to maintain a tidy and presentable standard of dress at all times while on duty.

About You

We are seeking a driven, motivated, and enthusiastic individual who is willing to work both day and night shifts on a rotational basis.

Training will be provided to ensure you have a full understanding of the duties, including the operation of barriers and turnstiles, alarm systems, weighbridge, as well as company policies and procedures.

Key Skills

• Experience in interacting with staff, visitors, and contractors is desirable.
• Basic computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, are required. Training will be provided for computer-based logging systems.
• A good level of spoken and written English is essential.
• You should be willing to undertake first aid training and serve as a designated first aider.
• Training on CCTV operation and compliance will also be provided.

The role is based at our site UK Poultry - site in Sandycroft and will consist of 12-hour day and night shifts 2 days on 2 nights on followed by 4 days off.
