Trainee Engineering Supervisor
Up to £20 per hour + OT
Our client is a well-established fabrication business with a global reach providing high quality components to a wide range of industrial sectors. Due to retirement over the coming years, we have the immediate need to recruit a trainee supervisor that has the drive and ambition to lead and manage a team over time. This role will be working closely with our current engineering supervisor who will support your further development and growth into a supervising role with increased responsibilities and income.
You will support the engineering supervisor in the control of the implementation of efficient welding and fabrication processes whilst liaising with internal welding inspectors and engineers to ensure correct qualification of personnel utilised on contracts. You will oversee training of apprentices, as well as support the ongoing training and professional development of personnel and appraisals. You will support overall supervision of the shopfloor staff through leading morning meetings, monitoring and enforcing H&S on the shopfloor whilst closely working with the Health & Safety Manager. You will support the distribution and allocation of workload and the overseeing of quality and the drive for continuous improvement.
