About Our Client

Job Description

The Management Accountant (HYBRID) role involves:

Management Accounting
  1. Calculate and maintain monthly accruals and prepayments.
  2. Prepare and post journals as appropriate and ensure appropriate pre-approvals with back-ups are maintained.
  3. Cost allocation for (but not limited to) Fleet, Fuel, Phone, Travel, Medical Insurance, etc.
  4. Preparation of monthly Structural Costs (overheads, "Struco") transaction report, understanding of actual results and providing commentary.
  5. Credit card processing, chasing/preparing journals for postings.
  6. Calculation and raising invoices for intercompany recharges (global cost, salary, expenses), including backup details, and dealing with queries with trading partners.
  7. Raise Fixed Asset numbers.
  8. Reconcile plan on lease information.
  9. Reconciling intercompany accounts and resolve differences between partners.
  10. Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations for designated area of responsibility.
  11. Maintain robust processes and controls to facilitate P&L integrity.
Accounts Payable Support & Oversight
  1. Readsoft - clearing workflow on daily basis, advise on cost allocations.
  2. Liaising with AP team to ensure all entries were posted correctly during the month.
  3. Reconciling suppliers accounts.
  4. Chasing suppliers for VAT invoices (proforma).
  5. Payment Runs (in collaboration with FSS) and Payment Approvals.
Reporting & Statutory Obligations
  1. Tagetik Reporting and data inputs as required; for e.g Intercompany.
  2. Preparation and support for quarterly, half-yearly and annual reporting.
  3. IFRS16 (long term leases) - provide updates to CoE to maintain planon portal on monthly basis.
  4. Monthly provision of required data to TFL Contract for billing back-ups and audit support as required.
Audit & Adhoc
  1. Provide support during statutory and internal audits.
  2. Ensure consistent documentation of all tasks and activities according to internal policies.
  3. Continuously review and improve finance processes and controls.
  4. Support Head of Accounting with proper alignment with timely and accurate reporting to Global stakeholders.
  5. Adhoc admin duties.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Management Accountant (HYBRID) should have:

  • Prior experience of management accounting is essential.
  • Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent / QBE.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. (SAP experience is highly desirable)
  • IFRS 16 knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of P2P is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to make strategic decisions based on financial analysis.
