You’ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO’s partners to help businesses effectively. You’ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with.

Working for two senior partners in Actuarial and Financial Crime within FS Advisory, as well as a number of directors. There is ample opportunity to get involved in various operational projects and internal and external events.

This will be a challenging and rewarding role where you will provide a full range of high level support to partners / directors. Service levels underpin the firm’s commitment to the delivery of exceptional audited entity service.

You will provide high level administrative, business and personal assistance within the department and become an integral member of the Business Support team. You will act as a role model, respecting confidentiality at all times. This busy role will also have supervisory responsibilities for other business support staff. You will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities
  1. Diary Management: Seeks to understand priorities, reschedules meetings with minimal guidance, ensures punctuality, and assists in preparing for meetings.
  2. Email Management: Monitors partner’s email account in their absence and provides agreed assistance at other times.
  3. WIP and Debt / Workday: Manages billing processes, liaises with credit control, and maintains project codes.
  4. CMS and Pipeline: Manages partner's CMS contacts and sales pipeline, ensuring relevant information is collected and maintained.
  5. Documentation: Produces high-quality work under pressure, ensures compliance with branding, and drafts routine correspondence.
  6. Staff Supervision: Leads by example, coaches junior team members, and identifies ways to improve the audited entity experience.

You’ll be someone with:

  • Extensive experience of diary management
  • Advanced level in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Previous experience working at PA / Secretary level
  • Exceptional spelling, punctuation and grammar
  • GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Typing speed minimum 50 – 60wpm
  • Ability to understand the Group’s and Firm’s environment
  • Ability in exercising initiative, discretion and organisation
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible in approach
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Forward-thinking and anticipates requirements
  • Adept at coping with changing priorities
  • Highly self-aware and exercises good judgement
  • Confident written and verbal communicator
  • Discourages dwelling on problems and escalates issues appropriately
  • Takes responsibility for maintaining relevant skills
