Core Subject SEN/SEND Teacher (Maths, English, or Science)
Location: Telford

We are on a mission to transform the educational experience for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and other Additional Educational Needs. About the Role:

As a Core Subject SEN/SEND Teacher, you will deliver Maths, English, or Science to young people facing a range of learning challenges, including:

  • SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
  • SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs)
  • MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
  • SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties)

Your role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that address the individual needs of each student.
  • Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports academic progress and emotional well-being.
  • Utilizing creative and holistic approaches to engage students and enhance their confidence and social skills.
  • Collaborating with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive, consistent support.

Who We’re Looking For:

This role is ideal for qualified teachers who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS), or other relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Have experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other additional needs.
  • Understand safeguarding processes and are committed to the health, safety, and well-being of students.
  • Are patient, empathetic, and adaptable, with the ability to inspire and engage vulnerable learners.
  • Have strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

Essential Requirements:

  • Professional teaching qualifications (QTS/QTLS).

  • Enhanced DBS (we can assist in obtaining this at cost).
  • Two professional references.
  • The right to work in the UK and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people.
