Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a Cyber Security Advisor to join their dynamic Cyber Security Team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with clients, providing expert consultancy and delivering essential cyber services such as vulnerability assessments and compliance with Cyber Essentials standards. Ideal candidates will have IASME CE assessor status and a strong background in IT security. Cyber Security Advisor


Advert Details

We are recruiting for a cyber security advisor, ideally with cyber essentials assessor status, to support our cyber security and Cyber Essentials clients. You will help deliver client projects across the range of cyber services provided by our Cyber Security Team. These services include the IASME Cyber Essentials scheme, vulnerability assessment and PCI DSS scanning.


Responsibilities
  1. Providing a wide variety of clients with high-quality consultancy advice and support in relation to cybersecurity best practices and solutions;
  2. Assisting clients understand best practices aligned with Cyber Essentials requirements;
  3. Conducting Cyber Essentials assessments ensuring compliance with the scheme guidelines;
  4. Managing client workloads effectively, all within service level agreement targets;
  5. Supporting our vulnerability assessments and PCI DSS scanning services;
  6. Working with the Head of Cyber Essentials to identify improvements to our processes and opportunities for automation.

Minimum Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will already have IASME CE assessor status. Candidates with 3 years' experience in IT / IT security or cyber security, along with the following, could be considered and would be required to achieve CE assessor status should they be successful:

  1. Understanding of technical cyber security concepts and the primary measures that businesses can take to protect themselves.
  2. Experience working with a range of Operating systems (Windows and Linux servers and workstation, Android, Apple MacOS and iOS etc).
  3. Knowledge of IaaS, SaaS and PaaS cloud services.
  4. Knowledge of networking protocols and server administration.
  5. Knowledge of networking systems from a range of manufacturers.
  6. Knowledge of current security standards such as ISO27001 and PCI DSS.
