Job description
We are recruiting a Senior Audit Manager (SAM) who will be one of the leaders in our internal audit team to deliver high quality internal audit and help HMRC improve. We need people who can bring practicality, pragmatism and customer focus along with strong audit technical knowledge and experience of leading audit teams. You need to be a strong influencer, a good communicator, an effective leader of audit professionals and a team player.
SAM is a leadership role in the Internal Audit (IA) directorate. In this role you will lead an audit team to provide the internal audit service to designated Director General-led Business Groups, and you will be a part of the overall IA directorate senior leadership team (as one of our six SAMs).
You will be supported by a team of outstandingly experienced and respected colleagues who will share their knowledge and promote your development. A qualified Chartered Internal Auditor (CMIIA and CIA) or qualified Accountant
Memberships
Qualified member of one of five CCAB bodies (ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAS, Chartered Accountants Ireland or CIMA)) with a completed logbook
