Do you have excellent customer service experience and seeking a new role?

We are currently recruiting for Customer Service Representatives to work for an International organisation in a temporary on-going position. The successful candidate should have excellent customer service skills and be well presented.

The role is paying £12.05 per hour and is based in Battersea, just a short walk from Vauxhall station. Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 7am-3:30pm on-site. Please ensure you check your travel prior to applying for this role.

You will need to go through a strict vetting process that can take a few months, so a start date will be agreed after clearance is passed. Candidates must be able to commit fully if successful after the interview.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the lines of applicants on site into half-hour time blocks, according to the time of their appointment.
  2. Separate those applicants with special appointments.
  3. One hour a day will be required to work outside greeting applicants/visitors.
  4. Maintain control over the lines and entry of the applicants into the Visa/Mission pavilion or waiting room.
  5. Distribute applications to the public taking into consideration the nationality of the applicants, and if they need to complete other paperwork.
  6. Check all applications to make sure they are complete.
  7. Remind the public of the time the whole process will take and inform them that they will not be allowed to leave the Visa/Mission pavilion or waiting room (if applicable).
  8. Give preferential service to those applicants with mental or physical handicaps to avoid excessive waiting.
  9. Provide other information assistance to the pavilion-visiting public as necessary.
  10. Ensure that the public is treated fairly and professionally.
  11. Respond to any crowd control emergency and alert Mission guards as appropriate.
  12. Ensure uniform is clean and of proper fit.
  13. Maintain a pleasant and positive attitude when dealing with the public.
  14. Adhere to the security rules established by the Mission.
  15. Be alert to any evidence of fraud and report these instances to the supervisory Greeter and/or the Operations Manager.
  16. Take action to improve service as necessary.
  17. Investigate the validity of any customer complaints and advise the supervisory Greeter and/or the Operations Manager.
  18. Receive training and become knowledgeable in areas concerning consular information service as deemed necessary by the supervisory Greeter and/or Operations Manager.

This role involves elements of working outdoors periodically (1 x 4 hour shift every 2-3 days) to organise queues - suitable uniform will be provided. The ideal candidate will be able to stand on their feet for longer periods, as you will be stood in the main embassy pavilion, approaching applicants to direct and support them.
