A leading specialist in the construction sector, renowned for providing sustainable building solutions, is currently seeking a Sales Director. Established on strong foundations with a history dating back to the 1930s, the company has experienced vigorous expansion over the last decade through a combination of strategic acquisitions and organic growth.
Responsibilities:
Creating, developing, and executing strategic plans to reach sales targets and expand the customer base in line with business objectives to provide a pipeline of opportunities and committed orders.
Provide direction to the sales team in line with business strategy, lead, motivate and measure performance of the sales team to ensure individual and divisional objectives are achieved.
Take a hands-on approach, for coaching and mentoring the sales team, to improve performance whilst delivering excellent service to both internal and external customers.
Develop and implement standard sales operating practices and monitoring techniques in conjunction with direct reports.
Work with the Commercial Director to ensure all tenders, proposals and agreements are completed on time, meet the clients brief and are commercially competitive.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a Senior Sales Manager or Sales Director position
A proven background within the construction industry
Experience creating and developing sales strategies
Experience managing / running a team of salespeople
