Zest Education are currently seeking general supply teachers in North Birmingham, including Sutton Coldfield, Wylde Green, Erdington, Aston, Handsworth and surrounding areas. We have established close partnerships with secondary schools in the region that are experiencing a high demand for General Supply Teachers. The available roles encompass day-to-day cover, as well as short-term and long-term placements that are ready to commence as soon as possible.

By engaging in general supply work, successful candidates can enjoy a great deal of flexibility in their schedules, allowing them to effectively manage their commitments. Applicants who are successful must possess the following qualifications and attributes:

A PGCE or an equivalent UK teaching qualification that has led to the acquisition of QTS or QTLS.
A strong passion for multiple subjects and an exceptional understanding of KS3 and KS4.
A team-oriented mindset and a strong desire to contribute to a collaborative working environment.
The ability to plan, assess, and deliver lessons of the highest quality (planning and assessment requirements only apply to short-term and long-term placements).
Proficient classroom management skills, including effective behaviour management techniques.
Excellent time management skills, as well as a good grasp of information and communication technology.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
