Area Sales Manager

Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Sales Executive / Business Development Manager required to join a manufacturer of engineering consumables, conveyor components, belting, power transmission and MRO products used within food processing, automated packaging and manufacturing industries.

The Area Sales Manager / Sales Engineer / Sales Executive / Business Development Manager will cover Yorkshire, and part of the North East up to Country Durham, down to Lincoln where you'll be selling to End Users, as well as via distribution and to OEMs.

An engineering product sales background is preferred, but full product training is provided.

Any knowledge of conveyor components, belting, power transmission, engineering consumables, conveyors, food processing equipment, packaging machinery, materials handling, MRO products, or exposure selling to End Users, distribution and OEMs within the food, packaging, materials handling or manufacturing industries would be beneficial.

Package

1. £45K - £50K depending on experience
2. Company car
3. Guaranteed bonus for the first year (15% bonus)

Role

1. New business development and account management
2. Selling conveyor components, belting, power transmission and MRO products
3. Have support from Product Specialists and liaise with various engineering departments
4. Handling customer inquiries and preparing quotations, sales and completion contracts
5. Working remotely, covering Yorkshire, and part of the North East up to Country Durham, down to Lincoln
6. Selling to End Users, distribution and OEMs within the food, packaging, materials handling and manufacturing industries

Requirements

1. Experience in an engineering sales position, Area Sales Manager, Account Manager, Sales Engineer, Sales Executive, Business Development Executive, Business Development Manager or similar
2. An engineering sales background is preferred, but full product training is provided
3. Engineering sales background, such as conveyor components, belting, power transmission, engineering consumables, materials handling and MRO products, or exposure selling to End Users, distribution and OEMs within the food, packaging, materials handling or manufacturing industries would be beneficial
