Role description:

Managing a team to proactively support PMs to ensure Arcadis projects are set up, forecast, billed and closed in a timely manner as set out in the Arcadis Way Principles. Work closely with Business Partners to ensure accurate reporting of performance, minimize working capital and escalate risks identified.

Role accountabilities:
  • Provide effective management to engage, motivate and develop all direct reports
  • Build trusted relationships with Business Directors to ensure appropriate quality and service
  • Drive improvements in working capital by reviewing and driving billing/cash collection
  • Train Project Managers on Oracle and support where required
  • Advise Project Managers on efficient project set-up structures, ensuring revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS
  • Identify continuous improvement and encourage collaboration and knowledge sharing across the wider finance team
  • Support Project Managers to reforecast projects as required; identify and challenge project performance changes to drive accuracy of month end reporting
  • Support on project reviews as required; report any risks identified to management
  • Ensure reliable and accurate month end reporting of project performance
  • Support Business Partners interpret month end results
  • Comply with Arcadis Way policies and procedures
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Part qualified Accounting qualification or equivalent by experience
  • Ability to organize, motivate and develop a team
  • Relevant experience of working in a medium/large organization
  • Excel and ERP to a medium proficiency
  • Attention to detail and consistent high standards
  • Good inter-personal and communication skills
