Albany Beck are hiring for a DC Pensions Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in analysing and enhancing Defined Contribution pension offerings across European markets. Engaged as a consultant through Albany Beck, you will work closely with an Investment Bank to assess industry trends, identify growth opportunities, and optimise pension-related product strategies. Your focus will include market research, competitive analysis, client engagement, and service enhancement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive market research on DC pension trends in the UK, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
- Analyse growth trajectories of DC pension assets, identifying key shifts in investment vehicles and asset allocation strategies.
- Evaluate the number and size of DC pension schemes across target markets.
- Identify emerging trends and feature requests from DC pensions and translate findings into actionable recommendations for product enhancement.
- Map the landscape of member administrators in each market, assessing the number of pensions serviced and their respective asset sizes.
- Conduct a competitive analysis of DC pension custodians and insurance providers in Europe.
- Assess the market share, service offerings, and client portfolios of competitors.
- Identify strengths and weaknesses in the services provided to DC pension clients.
- Perform a gap analysis of current DC pension services compared to market needs and competitor capabilities.
- Assess the scale of development needed to close service gaps and strengthen market positioning.
- Evaluate and enhance client experience, identifying priority areas for service improvement.
- Develop strategies to improve product capabilities and go-to-market initiatives.
- Engage with prospective and existing clients as the local expert in DC pensions.
- Drive initiatives to increase client engagement and satisfaction through improved service delivery.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in Defined Contribution pensions, preferably in a product management or strategic role.
- Strong understanding of European pension markets, particularly in the UK, Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
- Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and gap assessments.
- Ability to translate market insights into actionable product development strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and client engagement skills.
- Familiarity with custodial, administrative, and insurance service offerings within the DC pension space.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
