About the Role...
We are looking for Emergency Care Practitioners (ECP) and Emergency Nurse Practitioners (ENP) to join our team on a permanent basis at the Urgent Treatment Centre at Kings College Hospital.

If you have experience in minor injuries and are passionate about providing excellent patient care, this role is for you. You will have the chance to build on your clinical skills and grow your leadership abilities with us.

In this role, you will assess and treat patients, using your knowledge and experience to diagnose, treat, refer, or discharge. The role involves face-to-face consultations, with a flexible rota that covers weekdays, evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.

Your Day-to-Day...

  1. Conduct consultations with patients, including comprehensive history taking and physical examination, using your clinical expertise to identify potential diagnoses.
  2. Decide on and administer treatments, referring patients to primary or secondary care services as per local pathways and protocols.
  3. Prescribe medications or work within PGDs to address the immediate needs of minor injuries patients.
  4. Provide clinical advice and mentorship to junior staff, supporting their development and care delivery.

Qualifications, Experience & Training...

  1. Registered Nurse, Paramedic, or other healthcare professional with first-level registration.
  2. Degree-level qualification or equivalent.
  3. Completed study in minor injuries and x-ray interpretation.
  4. Independent non-medical prescriber (desirable).
  5. Completed paediatric minor injuries training or willingness to develop this skill.
  6. Ability to work autonomously and confidently in a fast-paced environment.

Remuneration will include High Cost Area Supplement (HCAS) where applicable.

Successful candidates will be required to successfully complete pre-hire checks, including, but not limited to Right to Work in the UK as well as a Disclosure and Barring Background (DBS) check.
