Dear Coco, the world’s most popular coffee truck business with a cult local and global following is looking for exceptional Part-Time (weekend) baristas to join our Paddington Basin Team in Merchant Square, London.

Our mission is simply brilliant coffee, where you’ve always wanted it, served by the world’s best.

Our beautifully styled outdoor coffee truck is situated along the canals at Paddington Basin. Here we deliver exceptional hospitality, a welcoming environment and foster a community for people to connect over delicious coffee, bakes and more.

Our Barista Team reports to the Coffee Truck Manager. The start date for these barista roles is April 2025.

We want our Baristas to:

1. Consistently deliver specialty coffee to an exceptional standard.
2. Provide outstanding customer service and build relationships with our customers and local community.

4. Act as a brand ambassador for Dear Coco.
5. Be available primarily on weekends.

Entitlements:

Shift breaks, holiday leave and pension entitlements are paid.

Core roles & responsibilities

Operations Management:

1. Opening and/or closing the coffee truck (no driving is required), welcoming customers, taking orders, dialling in every morning, making high quality specialty coffee, serving bakes and other products.
2. Ensure coffee quality and consistency is maintained throughout the day.
3. Manage daily stock (coffee beans, milk, bakes, disposables, etc). Monitor stock age and minimise wastage.
4. Maintain a clean and organised coffee truck, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
5. Ensure the truck and retail items are fully stocked at the start and end of each day.
6. Ensure daily compliance with all health and safety regulations and licences.

Customer Service & Experience:

1. Maintain a keen knowledge of our specialty coffee and all product offerings.
2. Represent Dear Coco to customers and partners with a clear understanding of the business and premium positioning within the coffee industry.
3. Deliver outstanding customer service, creating a welcoming environment for all customers.
4. Ensure efficient, friendly service while maintaining high standards.
5. Learn about our coffee products and be able to assist customers with their home brewing questions.

Profile of our ideal candidate:

1. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Barista, working with specialty coffee is preferred.
2. Loves working outdoors.
3. Confident dialling in the coffee equipment.
4. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
7. A passion for coffee and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
8. Confident working both solo and as part of a team.
9. Understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
